SkyLab Elevates IoT Innovation: LoRaWAN® Gateway on TU/e's Vertigo Building Powers Smart Solutions for a Sustainable Future!

SkyLab B.V. installed an LoRaWAN® gateway for the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) This gateway is operating from a height of 75 meters on the Vertigo building “The Department of the Built Environment” on the campus of Eindhoven. The gateway is connected with The Things Network and Industries a global, open and free Internet of Things Network (IoT) and covers the university campus, city of Eindhoven and more. The (LoRa Technology) stands for long range, low power and is the new standard technology for IoT networks worldwide to enable smart IoT applications that solve some of the biggest challenges facing our planet: energy management, natural resource reduction, pollution control, infrastructure efficiency, disaster prevention and opens up a new world filled with countless of IoT possibilities. TU/e using the gateway to improve and increase their knowledge, and test, teach and innovate on IoT. The performance of this gateway on are all-ready great, the TU/e receives and processes sensor packages frequently from a distance of a 100 Km up and will help the TU/e and the city of Eindhoven with free and open smart city applications.
